An Exclusive First Look at The FlightPlan
Audrey Wisch walked families through FlightPlan on launch day: how the product works, who it is for, and how it sits alongside mentorship.

Why this session mattered
Families kept asking Curious Cardinals for college counseling. This session explained the alternative we actually built: a data-grounded strategy layer with accountability, not a counselor replacement.
What the session covered
- What FlightPlan does in the first thirty minutes versus months of unstructured research
- How the Sky intake call, scorecard, and Missions fit together
- Who the beta is for, and who should wait for a later cohort
- How FlightPlan works with an existing mentor instead of replacing them
Who it is for
Parents of 8th through 11th graders, especially Curious Cardinals families deciding whether to join the founding cohort.
About
On May 1, 2026, Curious Cardinals opened FlightPlan to its first 100 families. This live session was the public walkthrough: why we built a strategic layer instead of traditional college counseling, what happens in the Sky intake call, and how Missions keep the plan on the calendar. The recording and takeaways stay here so the page remains useful after the date. Registration for this occurrence is closed; the series page lists whatever is next.
Key takeaways
- FlightPlan is a strategic layer and accountability system, not a replacement for a mentor or counselor.
- The founding cohort was a 12-month beta for families who wanted in early and were willing to hit rough edges.
- The Sky intake call is the starting point: student leading, parent nearby, transcript and resume after.
